why not start jim sorgi instead of peyton manning? sorgi’s career passer rating is higher than peyton’s
(99.3 vs. 94.4) and manning’s hand could be a problem….even without broken bones. sorgi has not thrown
any interceptions this year; sorgi has no incompletions at all for 2006

this morning i used chemical warfare on a big fat spider. i used ant spray which is probably illegal since
i wasn’t using the product for its intended use. as long as there are no spiders or spidermen on the
jury ii should be ok though

during my drive through southeast washington, d.c., i got to see a dumpster placed in the middle of a
street lane, a large SUV trying to pass me on the right in a street lane not meant to be 2 lanes, and a road
that didn’t care where the map said it should go

i heard a funny advertisement for maryland college football today; it said “fear the turtle”. i can’t imagine
anyone becoming frightened from such a thing……maybe a flying turtle, a turtle with a gun, or a turtle who
can catch up to a disciplined racing rabbit

here are some interesting basketball numbers: 11 (the average free throws made by d.wade in the 2006 nba finals),
51268 (the dollars per minutes played by amare stoudemire this season [2005-2006] – 2.589M in 50.5 minutes),
1.8 billion (forbes’ estimation of mark cuban’s worth), 21 (current age in years of lebron james, in case you hadn’t
heard)

unless someone can convince me of somewhere else [worse], i claim that st barnabas rd in suitland, md is the home
of the worst drivers. i nearly was hit by 2 or 3 other drives during the last week and a half (nearly hit equals
slamming on your breaks to a complete stop and hoping that you are able to avoid a lot of contact with the idiot
driver in the other car)

if only toronto could hold onto it’s talent….can you imagine center: camby, forwards: bosh, mcgrady, and guards:
vince carter and anyone else really. you could stick in jalen rose, doug christie, mike james, rafer alston, alvin
williams or any other descent point guard they’ve had to make an unstoppable lineup (if healthy and playing hard)

i think a distinction needs to be made between Christmas music and holiday music. similarly, people don’t buy
and/or receive Christmas gifts but holiday gifts instead. what do purchases really have to do with Christmas?
…santa claus is a holiday character & not a Christmas character

i just looked at nba.com to see about voting for all-stars but didn’t see anything about it. then i started thinking,
and realized that voting for tj ford is probably pointless because iverson and wade are going to be the guards,
lebron and probably jermaine o’neal will be the forwards, and shaq will be the center. the guy to take either wade’s
or o’neal’s spot is vince, but i don’t know if he’ll be considered a guard or forward. right now paul pierce would be
a good forward to select, too
i think an all 03 draft for the east’s squad would be great though….tj, wade, lebron, bosh, and ……..darko would
have to step it up a bit to round out the starting lineup. if bosh could play center, and korver started shooting the
lights out, then he could replace the mighty darko. with bosh at center and wade trying small forward, then hinrich
could jump in as the shooting guard. this is probably the best lineup, but it is a small lineup

nine days ago in the dc area, papa john’s was selling 7-topping large pizzas for 7.99 each because of the 7
touchdowns scored by the redskins the day before, but this monday was probably not as busy. no touchdowns this
past sunday meant they probably didn’t have to give away rainchecks from running out of indgredients

it all started about 2 weeks ago. it all took place within 72 hours……….i used up my deodorant, a bottle of facewash,
a bottle of conditioner, a bottle of body wash, a bottle of mouthwash, and a bottle of contact solution…….no one
knows how all these toiletries were extinguished in such a short amount of time, but i guarantee to you that this

the nba championship series starts tonight. with lebron going #1, darko at #2, carmelo going #3, bosh at #4, and wade
at #5 in the 2003 draft (http://www.nba.com/draft2003 ), and other guys like hinrich, ridnour, josh howard and tj ford
in that draft, too, who would have expected darko to be the championship player in his rookie season (and possibly 2nd
season), too??? he did improve from 1.4 to 1.8 points per game from last year to this year, but a few of those other
guys improved their scoring averages a little, too

i saw a brilliant window sticker yesterday on the back of a vehicle: hang up and drive
too many folks don’t know how to drive anyway, and then adding the cell phone call makes it ridiculous; you should
have to take some sort of test to get a cell phone and have a driver’s license

i tried to buy something at a dollar store on sunday, and it was similar to ‘the club’ (the steering wheel device to protect the vehicle from
being driven away), but it was a rip-off version. there was a hand-written sign directly above it that said it was $1.00, but the cashier said
it was $7.50 and ‘no where in america can you find this for only a dollar’ so i left without purchasing any of the items i gathered

my weekend on the dc streets (saturday afternoon) included a talk with a couple ‘possibly homeless’ men. the first one would not accept
a penny that i found on the ground about 5 ft. from him. he wouldn’t accept the 10+ pennies i picked up along a store wall, a little farther
than 5 ft. away. also, he didn’t want a sandwich from subway, which was on the same block; he said he liked mcdonalds, which he said was
a long way from there. the next guy gladly let me go get him a sandwich from subway

after seeing juwan howard’s name in my fantasy basketball league (he got dropped by his fantasy owner), i wondered about the fab five, and
where the other two guys ended up. i learned that jimmy king and ray jackson were the lesser known names, and they’ve both played in the
cba (http://www.foursport.ca/Mar4_2004.htm). king has had more success there and has been the leauge’s mvp
(http://www.qctimes.com/sports/981106_story1.html).

welcome to America! maybe i’m a bit pessimistic right now, but our dollar is setting record lows against other currencies, most of the world
probably doesn’t trust us after running into iraq with little support over fake claims of imminent danger, our leader cannot admit mistakes,
and over half of our voting population is willing to support all this. i’m sure something good has happened in the last few years…..

be careful when opening emails and clicking on links, because they could infect your computer with a worm; some of these emails could

the nfl teams with starting quarterbacks from the MAC are a combined 17-5, and the steelers’ loss was not with roethlisberger starting;
all 3 teams are either leading or tied for the lead in their divisions. without using the eagles, there is no combination of three other nfl teams
with fewer losses. note for the future: jacobs (bowling green) and gradkowski (toledo) are currently #2 & #3 in ncaa yards passing this year

right?…..

wasn’t it george
washington who warned of the dangers of political parties over 200 years ago,
and probably knew the dangers of politics far
beyond just political
parties? now we have decisions based
upon what is ‘sensitive’ instead of what is truly right & not stepping on
someone’s
toes is better than
being right or truly fair. equality
does not see race, gender, or age, but it sees the real qualifications that are
appropriate
and beneficial to the
situation. sensitivity to unfair
circumstance is not the same as providing an opportunity to capitalize on a
poor
situation
